Gallows Pole took shape in December 1994!

A tribute band built on a shared passion for Led Zeppelin, the group revisits on stage the songs that created the legend of the great airship.
Also influenced by the “post-Led Zeppelin” period and the more or less intersecting careers of Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones.

Gallows Pole transports you from the roots of the blues to the early days of hard rock, via the mountains of Wales and the Kashmir desert.

Gallows Pole, which means “gallows,” is one of the title tracks on Led Zeppelin’s third album, with its very unique acoustic atmosphere.

Founded in 1992 in the Verviers/Liège region of Belgium, the band High-Voltage has established itself over the past 25 years as a dynamic and, above all, authentic band. The name alone evokes memories of “Sweaty Rock’n’Roll” evenings, and it’s not for nothing that the Belgians are considered one of the best AC/DC cover bands in the world. In their performances, they are so close to the original that Hard Rock Magazine wrote: “This Belgian tribute band could replace AC/DC without anyone noticing” (HRM October 2000).

For over 40 years, Deep Purple has left an indelible mark on the great history of rock. Rocked by the music of this legendary band, the musicians of FIREBALL pay tribute to this rock icon with respect and precision.
On stage, Fireball exults. Energy, power, a vocal timbre reminiscent of Ian Gillan, the sounds of John Lord’s keyboards, Ritchie Blackmore’s unforgettable riffs, not to mention Ian Paice’s drumming, supported by Roger Glover’s solid bass…it’s all there!

Founded in Brussels in 2016, The Roost draws on nu-metal and stoner roots to carve out a path in the current rock nebula. Spearheaded by Roland De Greef (Machiavelli’s bassist), The Roost released “Alice” in 2020, which showed great potential, especially in the single “Leila,” a gem. Now very much back on stage, The Roost intends to come and present a second album here, which should help them rise in rank after the unfortunate Covid period. Don’t arrive too late…

The locals are rising inexorably, and we felt it was time to produce them before it was too late. Fond of raw seventies classic rock, the Liège natives are part of a movement called neo-classical rock that has seen the emergence of bands such as Rivals Sons, Greta Van Fleet, and Dirty Honey. The first single, “White Lava” (2024), is a bomb. The first EP is a confirmation. The Flynts hammer us with hard/psychedelic music with a vintage sound and heavy rhythm. A treat for the old guard.

Robby Valentine’s other half, Maria Catharina, is getting to know GARF fans, especially since she’s not the wallflower type. Maria returns to stardom with her Robby as a man in waiting. Maria offers modern hard rock, a bit symphonic, epic, and very melodic. Her high, distinctive, and passionate voice promises to make a difference. If you like caviar, you should be in for a treat.

This band from Seattle, Washington, has never been to Belgium. After GARF, it’s clear they’ll never return, as they’ll be shutting down. So you know what you have to do. We’re happy to offer you such a sensation because the original remains in our DNA, even if it’s becoming increasingly difficult to attract this type of band. Anyway, Q5 is worth it. In 1984, Q5 burst onto the scene without warning with a stratospheric album: “Steel The Light.” Perhaps the hard rock album of the year, along with “The Warning” by Queensryche (a Seattle band too!). Melodic as can be, ethereal, and captivating, with either long, captivating tracks or short, incendiary pieces, “Steel The Light” seems miraculous. A little too much. “When the Mirror Cracks,” the following year, is solid, but nothing more.

Floyd Rose, the impeccable guitarist, leaves to create his own system, and singer Jonathan Scott K. reappears in another project. Q5’s return after several decades is unexpected. Don’t miss it!

The last time Sweet set foot in Liège, things went very badly. It was in May 1972 at the Barker Mini-Club in Liers, and the rogues ended up as friends (in St-Léonard prison!) after inappropriate behavior with young ladies. The incorrigibles were thus declared persona non grata in Belgium for a time. It was the (good) time of bubble gum ditties concocted by hitmakers Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman.

Much water has flowed under the bridge. The glam kings became huge (with albums as strong as “Sweet Fanny Adams”, “Desolation Boulevard”, “Give Us a Wink”, “Off The Record” and “Level Headed”) and the number 1 glam band (watch out, there’s a match with Slade – well, Noddy Holder’s) withstood everything (and influenced everyone) before the main protagonists (Connelly, Priest and Tucker) dropped like flies. Luckily, we still have guitarist Andy Scott and his young lieutenants who, as at every concert, come and slam “Teenage Rampage”, “Ballroom Blitz”, “Blockbuster”, “Hell Raiser”, “Action” and other “Set Me Free”. Nothing new under the sun except a maximum of glitter, fun, basic rock and exuberance.

The German maestro loves Liège. Having come to our Ardent City a good ten times with the Scorpions in almost every venue and club, the Düsseldorf native has become friends over the years with quite a few Liège residents. Thus, at our first GARF at Fonck in 2019, Uli was the artist or band that received the most acclaim from the audience.

Bringing him back to Chênée (two concerts with the Scorpions in 1977 and 1978 and a Hendrix Tribute with Such A Noise and Randy Hansen in 1991)? A no-brainer, as the fond memories remain vivid for this guitar hero, a follower of the great Jimi, and a lover of classical music and philosophy. Great in a Scorpions with romantic and sometimes psychedelic aims (the Schenker/Meine duo challenged Uli in terms of writing), terribly fine, personal and grandiloquent (Beyond The Astrial Skies – 1985) in an Electric Sun very out of phase with the “mainstream” Scorpions, Uli presents himself as an adored virtuoso (Kirk Hammett of Metallica, Yngwie Malmsteen, Marty Friedman of Megadeth, Eric Peterson of Testament… are his biggest fans). We are proud to present to you again (but as a star this time and with a full show) this big name from the golden age of rock, still very green at 70 springs.

Uli Jon Roth’s new show is titled “Pictures of Destiny.” He will present new compositions, a new set adorned with his paintings, and a selection from his brilliant career.

Liège drummer Rudy Lenners, his former partner in the Scorpions between 1975 and 1978, will play a few songs with his friend. Naturally, Scorpions!

Don’t miss this Uli tour. It’s one of the few dates on our continent in 2025.
