We’re back for more!
Our support evening for the Golden Age Rock Festival last October convinced us of one thing: it would have been inappropriate to stop there. The interest in vintage rock, rock from a golden (even idealized) era, remains very much alive.
However, we analyzed the feedback and listened to everyone’s requests. We have thus decided to adapt to the wishes of the majority.
The (good) rock of yesterday played by the musicians of today enjoys phenomenal popularity. As an appetizer (warm-up), we offer you three Belgian bands of international level celebrating two progenitors of hard rock: Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, as well as the most beautiful rock’n’roll machine: AC/DC! This will be the evening of Friday, September 19th. A hot evening full of memories and adrenaline. Don’t delay in booking your tickets. The Chênée Cultural Center is not expandable.
The next day, Saturday, September 20th, a more “classic” lineup, more in our DNA, should also delight tribute band aficionados. Another request from our loyal fans was to rejuvenate the lineup, even though Arthur Brown (83 years old!) had delivered a serious blow to youth-centrism in 2023. Sparkling young bands with good old roots do exist. The Roost and The Flynts (rising stars from Liège!) are living proof.
When you’re not Croesus, you have to be clever. Robby Valentine returns. But in service to his dear half: Maria Catharina. The voice… Q5? They illuminated the hard rock planet in 1984 with a stratospheric “Steel the Light”. We found them again. Grand Slam was our revelation and favorite of the 2022 edition. They are coming with a new opus, with Thin Lizzy always in mind. Did you want a headliner? You’ll have two! Sweet, the kings of glam rock in the heart of the seventies, will launch their last flames and other glitter. Be careful of the fire. Uli Jon Roth, the Hendrixian guitar hero of the 70’s Scorpions, loves Liège given the Hanover band’s past in the Ardent City. Uli remains a great among the greats.
Not convinced yet? The XII Labors of Rock, a book for sale at all our editions, will be offered to you for free. The new GARF? Perhaps the good surprise of the year…
